Blythe Landing, Lake Norman
Huntersville, North Carolina
DAY 1
The goal of the Riley's Cup event is to invest in student anglers, by creating a fun, safe, place for them to build friendships, learn about life with Jesus, and the sport of fishing from some of the top anglers in the profession.
In 2024, we flipped the script on the Riley’s Cup and turned it into something even bigger than a fishing tournament. Instead of a traditional competition, Riley’s Cup became a Hurricane Helene relief fundraiser—a powerful day of unity, purpose, and generosity. After hearing that several families involved in the NC Bassmaster High School Fishing Trail had lost everything in the storm, we knew we had to help. Every dollar raised at the event was matched by Riley’s Catch and given directly to those families in need. In total, more than $10,000 was donated to support them in their time of crisis.
The tournament brought together just over 100 boats on Lake Norman, launching from Blythe Landing, and what happened that day went beyond fishing. It became a community-wide show of support. We’re incredibly thankful to our sponsors who stepped up in a big way—Elevation Church, Visit Lake Norman, Abu Garcia, Berkley, Plano, and others who made the event possible. Riley’s Cup 2024 reminded us what’s possible when anglers, families, churches, and industry partners come together—not just to compete, but to make a difference.
